Indoors, the house has three bedrooms (one queen, one full, two twins), plus a pull out couch. A true gem in the Vacationland state of Maine. Our lake is quiet and peaceful, yet not secluded. If you are looking for a busy lake like Winnipesaukee or Sebago, Embden is not the place for you. We offer kayaks and canoes for your use out on the lake. We have about 100' of shore frontage and a huge swimming dock.

Enjoy other wildlife such as bald eagles, moose, ducks and turtles. Embden is one of the cleanest bodies of water in Maine-great for swimming-with plenty of small mouth bass and trout-a fisherman's paradise! There are a few pairs of loons that return every summer. The lake is 1600 acres, 6 miles long, 2 miles wide, and 160' deep in its deepest spots. Our lake house is located on Embden Pond, in Embden, Maine-about 1 hour North of Augusta in the Kennebec mountain and lakes region of Maine.

By mid summer it does warm up some, but remains incredibly refreshing! Its about 4.5 miles long, and about 2.5 miles wide on the north end. It is up to 170' deep and spring fed, so the water is incredibly clear and clean, with a stone lined shore and gravel clear bottom. Three bedrooms, 1+ 1/2 baths, nice patio area, campfire by lake shore. Newly rebuilt cottage with screen porch, kitchen and living room on main floor. (the original structure was a chicken coop!) So we opted to rebuild. But the old camp was tired, and when it was time for a new roof, well - the walls wouldn't support one. We brought the property along, raised our family vacationing there for many years. The original camp was dragged across the ice in the 1930's as a hunting/fishing camp one of the first on the east shore, indeed before there was a road! When we purchased the camp, it had not been occupied for many years.
